Michelle Roelofs is a structural engineer and an Associate Principal in Arup’s New York office. She has led the design of a wide variety of projects including residential, cultural, commercial and educational buildings. Michelle has developed a specialty in structural design using innovative, sustainable, and architecturally expressive materials including mass timber. Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She holds her master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where her studies focused on seismic based structural analysis and design. She is a licensed engineer in multiple states.
