Sheldon has hands on experience designing and implementing sustainable energy projects in the US and India for over a decade. His journey as a sustainable energy engineer has taken him from designing cogeneration plants and energy efficiency projects in high-rise multifamily and commercial buildings in New York City to large-scale deployment of energy access programs in rural central India.
Sheldon has performed the role of lead mechanical design engineer for over 20 co-generation projects in the New York City area. He has also conducted energy audits, feasibility studies, energy benchmarking and building energy simulation for a large portfolio of commercial and residential buildings. Furthermore, Sheldon brings hands on mechanical design experience having worked on engineering design consultation of HVAC system for residential and commercial facilities in New York.
In addition to his experience in New York and multinational companies like Siemens and EMCO, he has spent a number of years working with rural energy access programs in India. Earlier on in his career, he led a team that designed in-house appropriate energy technologies and implemented a renewable energy program, which spanned 7 districts covering 350 villages in rural central India.
