Stephen Ashkin is considered the "Father of Green Cleaning" and has been working to transform the global cleaning industry for over 40 years. He is a founding member of the US Green Building Council and past member of their national board of directors. In just the past year he wrote the LEED pilot credit on cleaning and disinfecting for COVID-19, and developed infection control training programs for both unionized and non-unionized frontline workers that have trained to-date over 30,000 workers. Among his current efforts is the development of a standard to define Sustainable Cleaning Services.
